Making Plays That Make Your Career: An actor’s guide to new play development

Fall Semester, 2017  (dates TBD)

Actress Jessica Hecht—star of film, TV, and Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre—runs this workshop that walks you through the step by step of the actor/writer collaboration on a new script. You will work with two New York Playwrights at the height of their young careers (Max Posner and Sarah DeLappe— the same writer who wrote THE WOLVES!) as Jessica Hecht coordinates a session with writers and two separate 2 day workshops which combine acting class with an audition symposium and a practical guide to the actor’s role in new play development. Actors and burgeoning writer/directors are welcome.

A Bad Night

Spring Semester, 2018  (dates TBD)

A new play co-written by Nicole Pandolfo and Amy E. Witting

A Workshop/Staged Reading with students

with visiting director Jackson Gay

Accompanied by a “Community Discussion on Sexual Assault on College Campuses”

A recipient of a 2015 Emerging Artists Jerome Fellowship, A BAD NIGHT is a complex portrait of acquaintance rape as told by real interviews from men and women, survivors, detectives, attorneys, and others affected by what is a problem of inconceivable proportions.
